Due to some really strange dreams combined with a visit from my Muse (who looks like a 4-inch tall faerie punk rocker, usually strung out on something fairly potent, and is fond of lines like "MAKE WIT TEH ART MAGGOT1!!11!!" while brandishing a bottle of Jack in one hand, and a ballbat in the other), the main character of my work-in-progress stories (tenetively titled Vagabond Tales) has undergone a sex change. Strangly enough this doesn't change a great deal about what has already been written other than having to edit for gender references, and proper name changes.
This was a bitch to render out. Pushed my machine as far as it would go, and best I could manage was a 12 pixel bucket size. What that means is for this pic (which is 850x850 pixels) it would only render a strip 12 pixels big across the screen at a time. Took it almost 4 hours to fully render, but I think it turned out ok. As a bonus, she's wearing footwear that a certain ferret I know will have a fit seeing. Some guys just can't handle impractical footwear.
this is awesome! i have no idea how you did this, as i know nothing of 3-d renders and the sort.. but this is just lovely. it really caught my eye. i love her weapon, the outfit.. even the pockets on the pants are a gorgeous touch! really amazing. it blows my mind when i see things like this! wonderful job.. all the time spent rendering it was well worth it!
Love the hair...and the coat...and the pants...and sometimes, one needs impractical footwear, darnit! (Kari's a fan, but not when she's got work to do; flats if you please...)
Again, the background and such are very pretty without detracting from the main figure of the piece. Much liking.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
